I have been hosting my site posted above for probably around 6 months and haven't had any major issues yet. Perhaps I have had better luck using their DNS servers or perhaps their DNS was beta and is now maturing. Either way I am happy with my Linode!

I'm glad you posted this. I'm a satisfied Linode customer and was thinking about trying our their new DNS service because its free. But I think I'll stick with using zoneedit.com.

While I'm extremely grateful for the free increase in RAM and HD, I noticed that on at least 2 occassions, my "mostly idle" linode stopped responding long enough to drop my SSH connection. When I tried my home page, it timed out. After about a minute or two, my home page came up again and I was able to reconnect SSH. When I checked uptime, it was up for months so I know the server didn't reboot.

This makes me nervous, but the service has otherwise been fantastic compared to all the other hosts I've tried.
